Triple League Racing Podcast #3

James and I recorded another podcast this week.  Focus is Formula One and NASCAR.  There is some Indycar discussion about Fisher’s team (out of date) and the potential of a Texas track boycott (which I know is unlikely).  The track boycott discussion was sparked by talking about Bahrain.  Also includes making fun of Micheal Waltrip and suggestions for improving the NASCAR TV Broadcasts. This one is a bit shorter than the first two, coming in at under an hour and a half.  Should be a good pre-Daytona listen.

  1. I think the most important part to F1 testing is just seeing who is putting on the most mileage on the car. The fast laps don’t really mean anything because of fuel loads, what tires they using, ect. Getting the reliability and figuring out the setups are the most important. 2012 is hard to predict but it should be fun to watch. I also don’t mind the look of the cars. F1 is about testing the limits and coming up with multiple looks for the car and see how the engineers stretch the limits of the rule book.

    • That may be, I just find it odd that MotoGP/WSBK testing tends to be more reflective as they’re doing the same thing with the rule books as F1 teams. I can’t look at the new F1 cars though.
